Why?

Recently, a friend of mine's brother committed suicide. Or so they say. And I was heartbroken. Heartbroken not because I knew him well  but because all his mother's hopes were riding on him and then he just -'POOF'- died. You must be confused. So am I. But not how you are. You must be wondering why all of his mother's hopes were riding on him? Because he was going to take care of his mentally challenged sister. And then, he decided to die. HE DECIDED.You can control your fate, but you can't control others - unless you're God. I understand that he must have been in a world of pain and so decided to end it- but what about his mother's? His sister's? His father's? Who's going to end their sorrow. And so, this incident led me to write this article about suicide.

I believe that those who think of committing suicide are cowards, but those who actually do, are the most courageous of us all. To think is one thing, but to do is another. To have the courage of actually ending your life, is scary. And so this leads me to wonder, why instead of killing themselves, they spend this courage on facing the world.

I know, that this is an extremely depressing topic and that too, for a first post, but this has been bugging me for days. And I know that I will never understand how it actually is for those who commit suicide, but I just wish that they looked around them, and saw the beauty in life and tried to make their life as beautiful as the next person's.
